Prayer Week 2020

by Dr. Dave Coryell, Executive Director

In February 2019, people from ten different countries and five continents engaged in what we call Christian Endeavor Prayer Week. Some would say it is way too early to look toward 2020, but I’m casting a 2020 vision well in advance. By next February, by God’s grace, we will experience the following in CE Prayer Week 2020:

  • Fifteen countries involved with young people leading a worship celebration sometime on the kick-off weekend (Friday January 30-Sunday February 2).
  • Devotional material, in print form or sent daily through emails and social media, available in a minimum of three languages.  It would be amazing to see this happen in five languages!
  • Ministry kits available to challenge young people to make a deeper pledge in their faith commitment by becoming part of the 10th Legion. The 10th Legion was a legendary group of elite fighters in the Roman Empire’s military. The 10th Legion represents a group desiring to give their lives to God in a significant way. Details will be outlined in the Prayer Week material.

How about you? Will you help lead a Prayer Week Celebration Kick-Off in 2020? Will you commit to Pray, Study, Serve, Share and Worship at a whole new level during that period of time? If yes, please contact us and let us know!

May God guide you and direct you in the leadership you bring to yourself, your church, and those around you as we all seek to make an impact for Christ and the Church!

  1. That is an ambitious goal for next year’s Prayer Week, but as it was taught by Jesus in the gospels, “All things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark‬ ‭9:23‬ ‭NASB‬‬).
